4 Steps to Creating a Wildly Attractive Free Offer

I've been studying many Internet marketing gurus over the years,  and bar none they all say that including a lead capture system on your website is vital to successful online marketing.  Unfortunately, most reluctant marketers, ie spritual business owners, healers, and creatives, don't have any kind of lead capture system, and those that do rely on the old fashioned, "join my newsletter list" forms that tend not to work any more.

Imagine a regular flow of folks who just LOVE your stuff and can't wait to hear more from you. The way to attract folks like this is to tap deep within to your purpose and your offerings and develop an irresistible free offer to entice your perfect customers to engage with you. The key here is to make your offer totally authentic to the experience of you so your people will have a good sense of what it's like to interact with you.  Here are my easy step s to do this.

Step 1: Consider Your Purpose and Gifts ~ The first thing you want to do is determine your purpose and create a mission statement for yourself (you can refine it for your website later if you want.) This will be simple and from the heart, your true raison d'être (reason for existence.) For instance, mine is: "Discovering the beauty and magic in people and helping them share that with the world in ways that attract their perfect customers and transform the world." Relate this to your highest gift, your best offering. In my case, branding vision ie helping conscious entrepreneurs develop their authentic brand.  Notice how the thing you do best comes easiest to you and makes your heart sing while helping people in ways that are needed.

Step 2: Determine Your "First Steps"~ When a new person begins to work with you, what are the first steps you want them to take? Are there certain questions you ask them? Assessments you make? Things they must consider before getting started? These first steps can be the basis for your irresistible free offer, which will lead seamlessly into your fee-based offer. When they experience this first step, they gain benefit whether they work with you or not. And if they love the experience, they will naturally want to continue. For instance, I always have my clients create their Attraction Plan first to determine their true heart's desire. When folks do their Attraction Plans they can often begin attracting perfect customers in a couple of days. So this is the most beneficial and worth while first step I can offer folks to get to know me. It begins to solve their problem (needing to attract customers) while introducing them to the multitude of ways I can help them further. Another approach to this works for authors. You can give away the first chapter or so of your book and then have an invitation for them to buy the book if they love those chapters.

Step 3: Create Your Free Offer ~ Now that you have the irresistible idea, it's time to make the actual offer. This can be done in a number of ways. I often offer free webinars and teleclasses and record them as free offers. My Magical Marketing Toolkit is a report with two short videos. I will be changing this soon however to be the complete Class 1 of Branding from the Heart including video and audio replay of my live class and the handouts. While still introducing them to the Attraction Plan, this free offer leads my perfect customers seamlessly into my signature program.

Step 4: Promote Your Offer ~ You will need to put a lead-capture form on your website and create a sales page to promote it.  See mine at www.MagicalMarketingToolkit.com. Then you will want to let folks know about it. Put a little promo in your email signature, so all your emails let folks know, passively, about your offer. Mine is --

The Ultimate Marketing Guide for Homebodies

There are a lot of reasons to want to stay home. Maybe you have kids, or in my case, dogs, that you want to always be with. Maybe you love where you live and enjoy the comforts of home. Maybe you just hate driving or traveling. Or maybe you’re just lazy and prefer to lounge around in PJ’s all day.

If you’re like this, you’re a bit of a homebody. I’m a homebody too.

That’s why I love to do business and marketing from home, and I’ve developed some key ingredients to being a stay-at-home marketer. Below I list these key ingredients and offer links to my services if you need help creating your ultimate marketing plan for homebodies!

The first key ingredient is a website that truly reflects your personality and mission. Of course I think it’s important to invest in the right branding vision and message, and to have at least one professionally designed site to promote everything you’re up to, and to represent you to the world. However, if budget is a factor, you can create an interim site on a blog like Blogger or WordPress for free, and you can even customize it for a lot less than a full site. To make your site an authentic reflection of you, include text written from the heart and pictures that resonate with you. See examples of my site designs here.

The second key ingredient is a large Social Media network. I have consistently built my Social Media network for about 2 years and have over 10,000 connections online. Considering I was only able to grow my list by about 800 over the first 10 years I was online, exploding my connection base by thousands and thousands of peeps felt like a win-fall. And these results are available to anyone who spends about an hour a day connecting with people on Facebook and Twitter. Other Social Networks to consider are YouTube and LinkedIn. The third key ingredient is group coaching or teleclasses. I have been offering teleclasses for four years now and they have helped me increase my income by almost 50% in the last 2 years alone. I use free teleclasses to promote both my group courses as well as my one-0n-one services. They have really helped me build strong positive buzz about me and my offerings. And the teleclass intensives I’ve offered have not only brought income, they have also provided me a platform to share my true purpose and develop my gifts. I feel strongly that anyone in business for themselves can and should use teleclasses to attract a wider potential client base and build additional streams of income while fulfilling on their life mission. The fourth key ingredient is a positive mental outlook. Without a positive metal outlook, attracting perfect customers and living the perfect homebody life is not possible. Not only is confidence our greatest business asset (it’s what our customers need from us first and foremost) but maintaining a positive vibration is key to attracting all that we desire. Every day I make sure to spend at least 1/2 hour raising my vibration and balancing my energy. First I use the Attraction Plan to determine what I want and focus my attention there. The fifth key ingredient is receiving support. I never could have even started a business without a lot of help, and I require help ongoingly. How to Attract More Business Now

Do you want to expand your customer base, improve your work life, and increase your cash flow? If you listen to the news you might be hiding under the covers afraid to face the day. But seriously, are you sure you are doing everything you can and even more importantly, being all you can be to attract more business now? There is no sense in worrying about what’s going on out there when there is so much you can focus on right here to improve your lot (and the lot of your customers too!)

Let’s look there to see if there’s something simple, fun and fulfilling you can be or do now to expand your business no matter what’s happening “out there.”

1) Take the time to focus on what you want. Every morning (and sometimes at night too) I do a meditation along with self applied acupressure to balance my energy and focus on what I’m attracting. I can take up to an hour to do this, and it has offered palatable results. As I imagine the scenarios I want to manifest, I can actually feel my mood lifting. Like Jerry Clark the magical MLM trainer, I like to imagine standing in line at the bank with a bunch of large checks to deposit. I imagine getting my receipt and checking my balance which is just as big as I want it to be. I imagine all kinds of positive experiences with my future clients, too, including situations where I’m solving problems for them and they’re ecstatic about the results. During my day, I look for evidence of what I’m wanting coming to fruition, and I celebrate when it does.

2) Ask yourself, “Who am I being?” Are you being the most positive aspects of yourself, or are you falling prey to negativity? Don’t count on expanding your business if you are worrying, doubting, or worse, getting angry. Remember, like attracts like, so if you’re engaging in being negative, you’ll attract more of that. Maybe in these times, to attract what you want you have to be Resilient, Persistent, Upbeat, Loving, and Helpful. Heck maybe you even have to be Magical! Before you engage in any marketing activities, check yourself and see if you can center yourself in a being that is a match for that which you are attracting.

3) Go out there and network online. Now that you’re balanced and being the light of Love in the world, it’s time to start networking and sharing your heart-felt gifts with the world. Are you on all the hottest Social Networks folks are raving about? It’s not an accident that they are all the rage. People (including me) are getting real results from sharing our purpose and our offerings online. Whether or not you have a website, you want to be active in online marketing to expand your business.

Here’s a checklist for starters.

  1. Are you blogging regularly and telling your peeps about it? Make sure you blog once per week or more to consistently build your blog archive. Your blog entries are like magnets drawing searches from potential clients, media or joint venture connections. Remember to tell your Social Network connections when you update your blog.
  2. Have you started growing your network on Twitter yet? Are you making friends by RT’ing them (and do you know what RT means?) Your Twitter following can grow very quickly with consistent and persistent use, and some great tools. Click on the “Twitter” label to the right for Twitter tips on this blog.
  3. Are you in LinkedIn and Yahoo groups with like minded folks, letting them know about your special offerings?
  4. Are you using Facebook to full advantage ~ posting photos of your business events, creating events and inviting people to attend, creating cause pages to attract contributors and fan pages to build a following, or groups to create community?
  5. Do you have a free ad on Craigslist?

Soulful Lead Generation: The Days of Targeting Anonymous Leads are Over!

I remember when I first heard of a “Lead.” I was active in a network marketing company and was learning about what they called a ‘numbers game.’ The idea was that once you had already burned through your “warm market list” (ie your friends and family) you would want to buy leads (names and contact info of potential clients) from brokers and other resources. You would then target these people who don’t know you from Adam and give them your well-rehearsed sales pitch. Since only a few would bite, you would need hundreds if not thousands of these leads to try.

This seemed to work for a lot of people but I lost the stomach for it in about 2 minutes.

The problem for me was that the relationship wasn’t authentic. The leads were just folks who at one time had indicated interest in home based business. There was no way to sort by personality type or interests or their potential simpatico with me and with the environmental mission of my company.

When I discovered Social networking, I found that I could easily meet dozens of new people each day just from sharing my purpose authentically online. And soon I started receiving calls on a regular basis from folks who say I’m the bomb and are already sold on my offerings.
Want these results? Here are some steps you can use to start generating some soulful leads on the social networks.

1) Create an attraction plan. You can get instructions on creating your attraction plan at http://www.magicalmarketingtoolkit.com/. Your plan will help you focus on what you want rather than the lack you may be feeling right now. You will clarify who you’re attraction, what makes you and them tick, what you want them to expect from you, and who you are being. This will help you to get ready for your most perfect customers so you will recognize them when they contact you. You want to give energy to those who match your plan and let the others go.

2) Get on the social networks. Do not delay! If you can handle only one or two, get on Twitter.com and Facebook.com first. These are the most popular social networks with millions of potential perfect customers for you. More and more marketers are finding these tools, when used consistently, generate good leads. 3) Locate your peeps: Make sure you connect with everyone you know on these networks, and then start searching for folks of like mind and heart. You can search for keywords on Twitter to see who is using those words and connect with them. You can join groups on Facebook to find simpatico people there. Search your friends’ friends and connect with them.

4) Lend a hand. Network in a way that helps others. Answer their questions, post valuable articles and information, repost items from your friends that you feel others would enjoy. This way you’ll build a strong, trusting following of fans who are happy to receive your occasional promotions.

It’s time to put away the old paradigm of targeting customers and do some soulful lead generation instead. It’s going to be more fun and fulfilling for you and profitable as well. Go forth and attract!

Retweet Me Baby: The Key to Twitter Growth

As I become more active on Twitter, I’m noticing a wonderful trend I’d like to encourage, and that is the re-Tweeting trend. Whenever you see the letters RT on a Twitter update, that means that what follows was originally from someone else, usually named right after the RT.

So for instance if I tweeted the following: What you seek is seeking you ~ Rumi

and you liked it, to re-Tweet, you’d post the following:

RT @magicalmarketer What you seek is seeking you ~ Rumi

There are a few cool things about this.

Firstly, it’s a kind jesture and it’s a way to help promote fellow Tweeters that you like so you can build partnerships online.

Secondly, all your RTs will end up in their @theirname box, so if you Re-Tweet someone, they’ll know about it and Twitter ediquette says those who aren’t following you yet will now follow you. Good way to get cool people to follow you and like you too!

Thirdly, when you RT folks who have a lot of followers, and they return the favor, your tweet will go out to a whole new audience. More potentiall new followers await you!

I think re-Tweeting is the best use of my Twitter time and I try to RT at least one person per day. If you RT me, I’ll RT you! So Re_Tweet me baby! And we’ll watch our follower numbers grow.
